Orientation (in case you're straight and coming form a different perspective):Bi

1. Do you want more lesbian programming and if so, does it matter to you what it is. yes, specifically more realistic stories and less "confused" stories where the straight girl gets "turned" into a lesbian without ever suspecting that she was. I think we've had our fair share of those and they all seem to either go back to men and question their "decision" or they are total nutjobs making us bi look like indecisive little idiots (i.e. Tina - LWord, Jenny - LWord, Esther - Hospital Central)

2. Would you watch Logo or Here(!) TV if they had a specifically lesbian drama. (Do you have either cable station now on your cable package) I would watch it but to be perfectly honest I would wait until one of my nice forum buddies upload the episodes on megaupload and watch it there. I am very impatient and I rather watch 3 or 4 episodes at time then have to wait. (and also, I am a student so I can't afford TiBo and all the fancy stuff.

3. Do you watch L Word? I just started to watch it recently.

4. If so, what is it you like and don't like. I am only finishing up season 3 and I am not very happy about it! :grr Whose bright idea was to kill off Dana! They couldn't kill of Jenny??? I mean, Dana is gone, Carmen is gone? What are they kidding me? I would have rathe they kill Tina! (sorry Tibette fans, but she's pathetic, at least for now) than my little Dana.

5. What kind of lesbian programming do you want to see. I'd like to see better writing and more realism. The L word (at least on season 3) just went nuts and it kinda sucked. I haven't seen season 4 but I really don't know how they will make up for Dana and Carmen. I like that they address a lot of issues and a lot more than all the other shows do. What I don't like is that they seem to all live in their own little world where the the rest of the world doesn't exist. I live in the real world and there are many kinds of people. I wish I could be butch-chic like Shane, talk so freely about my ex-gf on air like alice did with Dana, have all my co-workers know and respect the fact that I have a relationship with a woman and a child on the way like they did at Bette's workplace. It just all seems so happy go lucky and discrimination-free it seems kinda odd. The only people that have been discriminative (that I remmember) on TLW were Bette's dad, Bette's nephew (Kit's son), Dana's parents, and Carmen's family. Either we are being a little too unrealistic about the way things are in the US still or maybe I live in the wrong city. I just have to move to Los Angeles, I suppose.

6. Does imagery and representation matter to you? Yes. Sometimes I don't feel represented by any of these characters. They are "types" it gets annoying. I am too "normal" to like women I guess.

Any other information about your viewing habits you want to share would be great.

I just wanted to say that all I have seen that has been lesbian related I have found online and I'd like to thank all the lovely ladies who spend countless amount of hours uploading, translationg, writing fanfics, keeping us informed, keeping us together, giving us a chance to express and share our thoughts in forums like this one. If I wasn't cause of you guys I wouldn't only be in the closet, but I'd also have the lights off. THANKS!!!!!
