Age: 46
Orientation (in case you're straight and coming form a different perspective): lesbian

1. Do you want more lesbian programming and if so, does it matter to you what it is. of course I do......and I am willing to watch crappy shows like the LWord if it means that future shows with lesbian content will be piloted. Damn I wish that Nikki and Nora had made it........

2. Would you watch Logo or Here(!) TV if they had a specifically lesbian drama. (Do you have either cable station now on your cable package) Yes I would, but really dislike the editing on Logo, most noticably on the shows/movies that I have already seen. I am excited about Logo showing Bad Girls. Hopefully it won't be edited past the BBCA standard edits.

3. Do you watch L Word. I consider myself held hostage by the fact that I need to support shows like this if I have any hope of future "lesbian focused" shows.

4. If so, what is it you like and don't like. Suprisingly I dislike the stereotyping, especially of the straight crowd. The writing is all over the map and the characters are not believable due to inconsistant character traits (think Helena). Hospital Central's Maca/Esther is intriguing because they fit almost seamlessly into the fabric of the series. But even that couple is being scewered for the sake of drama!

5. What kind of lesbian programming do you want to see. There are many great stories out there that would make great movies or series. Start with a few of the classics (Katherine Forrest's A CURIOUS WINE and EMERGENCE OF GREEN), add any one of the 100's of lesbian detectives (JM Redmann's MICKEY KNIGHT or Baxter Clare's DETECTIVE FRANCO) and finish off with some nice serial representation (Radclyffe's P'TOWN series and Jessica Cassavant's BOSTON FRIENDS). Wrap all of this around a few dykeumentories and community relevant news and you have a channel that I would gladly pay for.

6. Does imagery and representation matter to you? Obviously they don't since I continue to watch the L Word! Seriously, well written stories appeal to me and the more choice that I have the better. Case in point......I don't consider myself a Sci Fi fan but if a lesbian centered Sci Fi series came along, I would support it. All in the hopes of more choice!
