Do I want more lesbian programming? Hell yeah! And, yes, it does matter what it is. I don't mind coming out stories, but I prefer stories where a woman already knows who she is and what she wants. I like stories where I get to see the two women meet and fall in love, I prefer those to the ones where they are already established as a couple. Another thing I don't want is wishy-washy bull like we have with a certain soap character right now. I don't ever want to see a story where a lesbian meets a man and feels his inner lesbian so she's drawn to him even though he has a penis. If she's bisexual, that's fine ... but leave lesbians out of that sort of thing. And lastly, I hate stories of lesbians with children. I'm sorry if I sound politically incorrect, but I do hate it. I love children in real life, but there is something about them on television and movies that leaves something to be desired.

Would I watch Logo or Here! TV if they had specifically lesbian drama? Yes, I would.

Do I have those channels on my cable now? No, I don't.

Do you watch The L Word? Yes, I do. And most times I hate myself in the morning.

What is it I like and don't like? Well, let's start with what I like. I like looking at all the pretty lesbians ... specifically Bette and Helena. What I don't like is the writing, it seems to get worse every season. Although, this season hasn't been that bad (there have only been two shows). However, it's hard to top the suckiness of last season. I also hate how some characters are being shoved down our throats no matter how much we plead with the writers to toned them down or get rid of them altogether (Max, Jenny, etc). Going back to what I said right before this sentence, I don't like the way the writers don't seem to listen to the viewers. They (she) seem to write whatever they feel we should want. I always thought shows were written for the viewers/fans to enjoy. Two particular writers (IC and McTavish) have shown me how wrong I am.

What kind of lesbian programming do I want to see? See my first answer.

Does imagery and representation matter to you? Yes, it does. Sadly, some people get what they know about gay people from television and movie characters. They don't know any of us in their real lives, so what is being represented in what they view should be accurate. I know people should know better about certain things, but if they don't know a gay or lesbian person (at least they don't know if they do), how will they know that what is being said and done is true or not?

As for my viewing habits. I like dramas and sitcoms. I'm not a big fan of Sci-fi ... just doesn't appeal to me. I love suspense and mysteries. And lastly, I love The Flintstones ... I prefer it to The L Word. I wonder what that means. :ponder
