If one thing you can depend on with LWord is anvils falling at the rate of Bette's tears lol.

- Bette's line "it says to put tab B into slot J" with Jodie saying, "You're doing it wrong"... can we say anvil alert *ahem*

- Bette subsequently falling on her a** lol

I totally didn't notice the 'tab B' and 'slot J' thing before. It makes this scene so much funnier lol

- Kit, girl, I know you want to give little sis a "reality check", but have we forgotten a certain married man with family that you were up close and personal with *hmmmmmm*

I forgot about him. Is this another one of those pot/kettle situations? I hate to say it but there are a lot of hypocrites on this show image

- And yes, poor Jodie "collateral damage", but I loved how Bette made a point that it would never work out with Jodie because she was in love (and always in love) with Tina. By the way, it's interesting how so many kept telling Bette (at one time or another) how perfect Jodie was supposedly was for her. I have to wonder if this didn't play a part in the past for a "perfectionist" Bette to cave in, or allowing herself to be "castrated" by Jodie because her fear to fail again.

Bette says they never had a shot but I believe she really tried to make it work, despite the rekindling and reconnecting with Tina that started even way back at the end of last season (the "I still love you" confessions in 408, the first truly honest talk on the back porch after Jodi and Bette broke up the first time in 411, the random lingering kiss just before Bette flew to meet Jodi in 412, and the "advice" Tina was giving to help Bette win Jodi back here and here). Bette gave up a lot of her Alpha-ness for Jodi, the true control freak. image But in the end, it was like that eye-gouging scene in the opening of 502 where they have Bette and Helena kissing/struggling, they were just too head strong to be together. I never found them to be compatible. Tina said last season in that Bette finally met her match, someone that is just as strong as she is, someone that doesn't put up with her sh!t. But that dynamic isn't something that I thought ever worked for Bette. They've been clearly trying to beat it into us all season that Tina is actually the one that is on the same level as Bette. Not to get all loopy and abstract but it's the whole yin and yang thing. It's an ebb and flow thing for me when it comes to TiBette. It's the closest way I can describe the chemistry between these two and why I think it works. Ironically, it is a push me, pull me thing - but not in that f*cked up way that Tina was talking about in 505. But it's also not a dominant/submissive dynamic either. That's where things went wrong for these two, when it became so fragmented and they went to their extremes - Bette was lost and distant and Tina was a doormat. Bette and Tina aren't an example of opposites attract or two of the same like Jodi and Bette are supposed to be, they're more like complements. Different and independent, but together they work better as a sum of their own parts - omg I just made a Jenny reference didn't I? imageWhich means it's time to stop image

You guys make this show so much better to watch image
